Here's this week's quick tid-bit. GMail does not consider the dot (.) in e-mail addresses. So all of these addresses point to the same single address:
- abc.def@gmail.com
- abcdef@gmail.com
- a.b.c.d.e.f@gmail.com
- abcde.f@gmail.com
In fact, if you have a GMail address and it contains a dot, try logging in with your user-name but without the dot. You will see that you are able to access your account. Go ahead, try it, I'll wait..................see, told you!
So whenever you hear someone saying, "My e-mail is xxx.yy.zz.123@gmail.com", just know you need not pay attention to the dots.
